This Queen Anne’s Lace flower reminds me of a snowflake.

I like the green pattern and the flower’s airy delicacy.

This is a group hug – or a holy huddle –

where seeds get some vital encouragement

before they go and disperse Life into the world.

I see a lot of Queen Anne’s Lace when I’m out walking,

and I’ve wondered why I see a dark spot on some.

A closer look reveals it is actually a minuscule flower –

a drop of crimson placed in the center of bridal white.
