She’s my favourite walk – a .75km sea wall
offering a unique experience of the ocean and it’s wildlife.
This Victoria landmark remains,
but current renovations will change the way she looks forever.

I had fun last month watching this Amaryllis bloom.
How can something so flamboyant
come from an ugly brown bulb?

I discovered this unique flower last week
blooming in an outdoor pot at Butchart Gardens.
It was such a treat to see in mid-January that I had to pass it on.

Sinking sun sets grove of trees aflame,
sending sparks dancing skyward,
to become stars burning steady and resilient.
