It’s the first day of summer!
And nothing says “summer” like hitting the beach
and soaking your toes in some surf.

A friend has this unusual Sensation Lilac bush in her garden.
It smells like sweet heaven and
these 4-petal blooms almost look like butterflies
ready to flutter off into the dawn.

sitting on the beach while the sun was setting.
The ocean’s incessant music, seagull sopranos, salty sea aroma,
cool blustery wind, gritty wet sand, and softening light
were a sublime spa for the senses.
