Oh Canada!

Oh Canada!

Ruler Supreme, who hearest humble prayer,

Hold our dominion in thy loving care;

Help us to find, O God, in thee – a lasting, rich reward,

As waiting for the better Day, we ever stand on guard.

God keep our land glorious and free!

~ 4th stanza of our national anthem

A few evenings ago I had the privilege of

sitting on the beach while the sun was setting.

The ocean’s incessant music, seagull sopranos, salty sea aroma,

cool blustery wind, gritty wet sand, and softening light

were a sublime spa for the senses.

Happy Anniversary to my fabulous husband!

It’s been a privilege to be attached to you

through the swirl of life for the past 21 years.

I’m enjoying the journey and looking forward to deeper waters…

On my Rockies road-trip I met these tall silent sentinels

– keepers of the forest, guarding the mountain paths.

Their feet were dirty but their hearts were glowing,

standing proud of their place in Creation.

I love how motion blur transforms the roadside weeds into abstract colour.
