1.  The spreading of small white ice crystals

when the temperature falls below freezing,

making an ordinary leaf appear deliciously confectionary.

I see a lot of Queen Anne’s Lace when I’m out walking,

and I’ve wondered why I see a dark spot on some.

A closer look reveals it is actually a minuscule flower –

a drop of crimson placed in the center of bridal white.

Looking through my macro lens at a dying tulip petal,

I discovered the Divine Designer had embellished it with silken stitches,

reminding me of Matthew 6:28-30  “even Solomon in all his splendor

was not clothed as one of these”
